Inside width of Dart 15

Post by edchris177 »

I have Dart sail #1640. It is currently disassembled & stored in my friends garage.
I plan on putting it together next week. I keep all three Cats on modified Seadoo lifts at my summer home.
The next few days I’m shopping for a small lift that will fit the Dart. Can anyone give me the INSIDE measurement between the hulls. It’s tricky to find a lift that the Dart hulls will fit inside the two uprights of the lift, without going to a lift designed for 18’ powerboats. Most Seadoo lifts will accommodate our H18 & Nacra Cats, but the Dart is too narrow for the hulls to fit outside the uprights, & too wide to fit inside.

It's about 1500mm between the stoppers on the beams. They vary a bit with wear.

Thanks.
Not having the beams or hulls in my eyesight…does the hull “bulge” somewhat inside of the beams?
The Nacras are pretty slab sided on the inside, slightly bulging on the outside of the attachment straps. the H18 hulls bulge slightly inside & outside of where the beams meet the attachment tunnels.
Initial plan was to place the Dart where the Nacra 5.0 resides, (blue & white sail).
However, the Dart is to wide to fit between the uprights of that lift, & too narrow to span them as the Nacra does.

Thanks for that information. After looking at and rejecting a half dozen Sea-Doo lifts, I found quite an old one that was made back in the days when SeaDoo were quite small.
Had to put a new cable on it, but it gives me plenty of clearance for the posts to be inside the hulls of the Dart.
She set up and ready to go for the season.
