Heading home after a terrific few days competing in the Uni Rig National . An extremely well run event with a big thanks to the Royal Yorkshire sailing club and our very own Jenny Ball for making it such a special event …, my first uni Rig Nationals in nearly 20 years. My twin brother Len who I didn’t know existed made an appearance anyway …, it’s complicated but ask Ed . The wind was light for the first 2 days but did pick up for the last day and 2 races …. Obviously the fuller figure gentleman like myself would have preferred more wind. To everyone who won prizes well done & congratulations and for those of us that didn’t there is always next year !!! Hopefully we can have a good turnout for the next event which is the Sport Nationals at Shanklin . Hopefully see you all there . Cheers Paul ( not Len ) your new Chairman.
