Vicarious Dart racing: it's better than nothing!

If by any chance you think you might have seen me wandering about at cat racing clubs, you may well be correct.
Rather sadly it is solely vicarious sailing for me and I've pitched up to watch my son Max who is now fairly engrossed with Dart 18 racing with his crew Amanda Hall. I say fully engrossed but that's not quite the full picture because it's not just the one Dart 18 and I'm given to believe that after the East Coast Piers Race he has added a 15
I don't think there's any secrecy about the transaction but if a well-known Marconi cat family wanted to wave they'd be welcome. That boat's not for me by the way.
After being away from cats for 25 years it's a surprise and a delight to be re-engaging with the cat scene even though home /life issues prevent me from climbing back aboard, at least for now.
Max' home fleet is at Weston SC but I've enjoyed walking around at Grafham, Stewartby and (Saturday only) at Marconi's ECPR weekend: great times. I expect we'll be at the next Grafham Cat Open too.
Oh yes, my oncologist took my beard away so think I'm neither as hairy nor as heavy.
I'll look forward to catching up guys!!
