At the request of Chairman Paul, a meeting to discuss rules pertaining particularly to sport mode sailing will be held at NDYC on Saturday 3 October.

Not sure why we would want to make it compulsory to put furlers on boats. Not everybody wishes to put a jib on to sail in sport races.

If this was brought in I am sure we would reverse it at Shanklin.

It goes against the spirit of the Sport rules in that you can put on or take off whatever parts you want.

It's important that we consider all people that sail in sport mode races, not just the ones that go to events.
