I read in newsprint that there was/is a deal on insurance for association members. Could any one point me in the right direction to obtain this?
cheers Nick

Yes - the insurance deal is offered by WHIC - the contact details are included in the Suppliers section of this web site - give them a call and tell them that you are a member.

Hi thanks for that!will give them a buzz nearer renewal time .
I currently belong to the pevensey fleet. We have a fleet of one boat (me) pevensey has a large Hobie 16 fleet and also a coulpe of charter dragoons .
We have some good racing with the dragoons but they have spinnis and now have got a handicap of 1033 which I think is generous but with the help of this website the club are happy for me to race two up off 958.
Least I feel we have a chance now!!! I am hoping to get this adopted for the south coast federation race. I hope it will bring out more Lads and Dads teams (or female equivalent)
I saw Bexhill had about 5 sprints but none came out to play
will have to work on that one.
I am also twisting someones arm to get another sprint at pevensey. Also working on getting rights to join the Pevensey single handers open. I am not sure they are aware that a sprint is a single hander. they keep talking about some strange craft called a monohull or something like that.
will let you all know about the single handers meeting.

Pevensea & Bexhill [Bob]

Hi Nick,
It's good to hear news from a bit of the country we don't (quite) visit - I had to look it up in the Atlas. We will be at Angmering (near Littlehampton) next year on 24/25 June which is not too far away. It would be good if you could wake up the Bexhill Guys and hopefully get a few to attend the Angmering meeting. Additionally, the National Championships is at Netley next year which is not too far. This offers you the opportunity to sail against other 2-up Sprint 15s for the 2-up Championships and also a chance to do some fun sailing in the Solent with rescue boat support. The dates are Championship Racing 19-21 Aug & Fun Sailing 22-23 August. Get them in your diary before the diary gets too full.
Regards
Bob Carter (events secretary)
