Any you should have seen him sailing. George fell off his boat. Mounted other boats. Did a 360 turn. And we had hardly any wind!!!

It was a pity the the wind did not materialise but Draycote did a good job in trying conditions. Let's hope for more wind on 13 January 2007.

PS for those that did not go we had 20 competitors, 14 travellers and 6 locals (pretty good since Draycote's whole fleet is 7 Sprint 15s) and Steve Sawford turned up with a load of bits and pieces from various boats, assembled a "bitsa" and proceeded to thrash the lot of us. He almost got away with it too!

An oxymoron is a curious figure of speech, whereby two contradictory words or phrases are used together. In this case, a signed anonymous post.

There is another example of a more practical kind that I like. It is when you see a soldier in khaki combat fatigues, with a bright yellow day-glow coat on top!

You forgot to mention just how cold it got in the light breezes, which was essentially why I fell off the cat.

But I agree wholeheartedly that our RO did the best for us that any RO could do, especially for the second race - does he have special foresight about wind directions - I thought the 2nd race course turned out to be remarkably true in wind direction on the beat and the run.
