Good Show at Queen Mary [Bob]

Hi Gordon - well done for running a good event today AND FOR FIELDING A RECORD 5 BOATS FROM QMSC. Congratulations also go to Erling for getting 4 members of team Shanklin to an open meeting for the second time in consecutive events. Next time I tack in Erling's water I'll wear ear defenders - for the next few hours!!! I had difficulty in concentrating on my lunch - such was the onslaught from Erling and his little rule book.
Ray Gall & Philip Howden's absense was noticed AND NOT FORGIVEN!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers
Bob
PS the entry fee was a bit steep - did we have to bribe the club for the use of the lifts?

Queen Mary [Gordon]

Gordon replied:

Thankyou to every one who came along..even though it was absolutely miserable weather first thing this morning.
I hope you all had a good sail.
Sorry about the ?15 entry fee, I suppose it's the London area.
And Bob, I heard the 'onslaught' from Erling. Did you come out on top? Do we need to change the results????

The onslaught [Bob]

Bob replied:

On top was not how I would have described it. Humbled may be but then again he did not protest so the results stand.

The onslaught [Erling]

Erling replied:

The trouble with the old chap is that he's still using the 1960 rule book he was given when he started sailing and so I like to let the old boy into the new rules before I protest him the next time we meet at a bouy.
