Hi Kevin,
It is a standard pressed shackle that is welded onto the ring so the pin of the same sort/size shackle fits. So you have to buy the whole shackle but they are only cheap (less than ?2). I keep a spare shackle or 2 on my boat. It is worth taking the whole halyard ring into the chandlers to make sure you buy the right shackle - then get 2 and have a spare.
