I have setup some ranks just for some fun. I have choosen the Royal Navy ranking system.

The admin user has been granted a special rank of Admiral of the Fleet, I'm afraid the rest of us will have to earn our stripes!

The more you post the greater your rank, your first rank arrives after making two posts and your second at 15 then it gets more difficult.

Let me know your opinions.

I reckon you will have to earn your stripes a new. Otherwise some poor sucker would have to count up all your old entries.
Cheers
Bob
PS Martin - Looks good fun to me!

Well done Martin,

Joan challenges my rank already - she asks since when have I been an ABLE SEAMAN as I can't seem to stay attached to my trapeze wire (and on board) on the 18. She's forgetting the last Open Fowley though!

I know why the old posts don't count - Bob would rapidly rise to "First Sea Lord of the Universe"!
Seriously, I think it is a great idea, and thanks to the Webmaster for all his hard work.

Hi Martin,

I trust these ranks will be listed in The Daily Telegraph, or better still, The Naval Review!

Will we be awarded an honour, if we made a cash donation to the Seasalter beer kitty?

Andrew.

I'm afraid not, pity because it would have helped my ranking too, oh well.

Smashing stuff. I'll have to post more to gain my admirals rank back. The fleet is still growing

Great idea, am I stuck with carrots or can I gain promotion to a pork pie or even a pasty?

Well its the healthy alternative, carrots!
Its because Jonathan gave you a special rank, Grub Guru, so it doesn't escalate like the others.

I'll look for a suitable pasty\pork pie image sometime and swap the carrots for that.

To get your admiral ranking (rank 15), well lets put it this way you'll have to POST A LOT!

The ranks range from 1 (able seaman) to rank 16 (admiral of the fleet). The NCO ranks are much easier to get than the CO ranks.
