Travellers

Post by Gordon »

Don't know if any one has noticed, but for the last two events, at ODC and Seasalter, the club where most of the travellers came from was Queen Mary SC.
At ODC there was David Casale, Stewart Pegum, Keith Chidwick and myself and at Seasalter we had Stewart, Alex Varnava and me again, plus George Stephen looked in to see how we were doing. We hope to see George sailing again soon.
I'm always hearing about how many people come from Shanklin, Thorpe bay, Grafham etc, but I think a pat on the back is due to the Queen Mary guys, let's keep it going.

I'd say Well done.

Hi Gordon,
Yes it is nice to see that the new members at QMSC are geting out and about on the traveller circuit - some I see are even beating you!!
Some wag at Seasalter said " yes well it is easier for them to get their boats in and out of the water if they do the traveller events" - I won't mention his name!
It is good to see them & long may it continue.

Cheers Gordon!

Sounds like there should be a team briefing at the nationals at which many half cooked burgers and cold beers should be consumed.

I popped up to QM yesterday evening to take my boat off the trailer after Seasalter as I'd like to try a few things on Saturday - the sight was fantastic, F7 across the reservoir with the water looking various shades of black - made putting the mast up a bit of fun at least - shame the wind won't still be around tomorrow!
