Its interesting you believe that most Stings were sold overseas, in fact thats the market it was targeting, as Dart 15 sales in Europe were virtually nonexistant. The reality is though a mere handful were sold to dealers in Europe the rest were in the U.K.

It begs the question of "Where are they now"

We have supplied a number of parts and had mast made for Stings that have needed replacement parts. My view would be that from a sailing point of view the sting was built for flat water sailing, in waves the rig weight in relation to the hull length made it pitch a fair amount.
