Hi, we are two young lads who have just bought our first dart. It has not a name yet. We sailed picos before at gurnard and did well in dinghy week so then had a go on a 16 at UKSA in a strong wind which was great. So we have saved our money and now got a good boat that never went out. We want to sail 2 up in the fast group next year. Last week our mainsheet and block/cleat went missing. I know we should not have left it there. We are going to get a box my dad said. If you find one it has our number carved in the metal and block please let us know. Jack and Sam.

Was it taken off your boat, or did you leave it behind? Also is it the new type with black plastic blocks and white wheels, or the old type with metal blocks and black wheels? Thought it might help for someone find them if they know what type they are.

Sheeting system

Hi guys, when I was at the Nationals I managed to talk my wife into letting me buy a new sheeting system. You are welcome to borrow my old set untill you find a replaicement.

Hello Jack and Sam, First a very warm welcome to both of you.

I recommend you join one of the two main Sprint clubs on the Isle of Wight: Gurnard or Shanklin. By joining, you will receive endless help from the other members, as Chris of Shanklin is proving with your blocks.

If you joined Shanklin, your two-up mode with two sails is on the same handicap has a Sprint with one person and one sail, ie level racing. The Shanklin fellows will also bring you up to speed.

Thank you very much to all of you that have replied, because of the sheet information i call tell you that it a new type of main sheet with the white wheels. We would love to be able to borrow your main sheet system thank you very much. It is much appreciated.

Sorry I forgot my dad says he is looking at insurance so we will hopefully get a new system. We will not leave anything on our boat now. How can we collect the sheet.? We know Carl at the marsh he has helped us rig our boat and lots of others have been really kind and supported us too. jack and sam

Sheeting System

Hi Guys (Jack & Sam), I work at East Cowes Marina, will put it in the car this evening.
You can collect anytime, when I am at work.
Will try to find enough rope to do the job otherwise you will have to buy some.
Mind you may be a good idea to get some new main sheet, you will need it when you get a new sheeting system. 8mm seems OK with the old and new system.
Not cheep, the wife will vouch for that, but the new system is worth every penny.

hello
thank you very much!
My mum works at Osborne middle so she can collect it if that is okay.
she catches the quarter to eight floating bridge to arrive in east cowes.
she finishes at 5. please could she collect in from you? and if so where and when?
