When I picked up my repaired sail the other day the sailmaker who did the repairs told me that he could make me a brand new (obviously out of class) Dart 15 sail for £350-380. This would not include battens, but the sail would in effect be an exact copy of my original.
I can't afford it anyway, but my point here is, if a worker in the UK can make a sail for under £400 and still make a profit, why are the far-east made "legal" ones over £580???
Someone has to speak up about this.
