Grafham Icicle and Winter TT Final

Post by Robert »

A big thank you to GWSC for a great day out today. Very smoothly organised, as usual, great weather and good company - what more can be asked? Particular thanks to the Race Officer and to our sponsor, Windsport :D :D :D

Likewise from me a big THANK YOU to all the lads from Grafham for their excellent hosting of the event and gave all the travellers a great day out on the water in some beautiful Spring conditions.
Congratulations to Pete Slater from Draycote for his convincing win of the series.
The Winter Series is a great format - looking forward to next year's already.
Oh and by the way - Carsington won this year's inter club challenge with Draycote by my reckoning (final score 2:1) although others may beg to differ, the justification for which I'll be intrigued to hear!
Cheers & Laughter

I'd like to add my thanks to Grafham, especially to the RO for the course and the wind :D :D :D . For both races the RO had set the square just right on average, and this IS a compliment as there were significant windshifts, especially during the 2nd race.

I'd also like to thank Erling :D :D :D , who puts considerable time, and cost in ferries and fuel, into our Events. My thanks are for him organising the Series on our behalf :D :D :D ; some might think my thanks were for Erling having to forgo coming to this last event - enabling me to overtake him in the Series   .  Would I really think that?

Strangely enough Jacob just sent me a text to say a write up (written by Bob Carter) is on the GWSC website..

I'm not entirely sure that's a good thing!!

Thanks to everyone who helped organise the winter series - It was great fun as always and race weekends are always a beacon during the cold winter months.
I particularly enjoyed reading the Grafham write up and it was so helpful of Bob to point out my mistakes!
