Training

Post by simon »

Hi all

Is there going to be any training sessions in 2012, I need the training, struggling to compete with the fast fleet on handicap in the lighter winds

We have had a couple of weekend training sessions for the last couple of years, so I had planed to give it a miss this year, but if we get a lot of interest from this I may see if something can be arranged.

Simon,

To the best of my knowledge there's at least 6 home Stewartby boats for training next year, possibly a few more, and I know Mark Norman has been looking into our options at the club. It strikes me that a decent demand from a host club plus support from visiting boats, like yourself, makes some sort training offering inevitable.

K.

The training this year from Brian at Stewartby was excellent. I would consider repeating the exercise if a weekend was made available.

Sprint15 sailors, If there is a call, via the Sprint15 class, for a Windsport style coaching weekend next year we will deliver but the date does need to be confirmed early before our weekends get booked up elsewhere.
Failing that Windsport offers club, small group and individual coaching, from here at Windsport or at your home club venue.
If you need some feedback a number of individuals have visited Windsport this season for individual tution and in the past clubs have arranged their own Windsport coaching.

Hi all. Sprint 15 "beginner" training will be at Netley sailing club on 24-25 march. It will be run as last year by Nick Dewhirst. More details to follow when I have them, but in the meantime if you would like to come please contract me on rob@familybowen.co.uk

Hi Mark
The date is the same as the 18 Training so was the only date available. Also this training is for new members to the class to get them started and to give them the confidence to do a couple off TT events.
The training for active members is at Windsport on the 2/3 June.

OK, thanks Erling - that makes sense then.

Perhaps we can have the Next Event banner toggling between the two then?
