Anybody doing the event? UnfortunatIy I am working. The weather looks like it should be ok as well. Have a good sail.

Cheers Neil. Some of us are staying over and joining in with club racing on Sunday - if you are free? 1st race 11.00 am and I think there are three altogether, one in the morning and two in the afternoon. Might have to pay for day sailing if not doing Saturday.

Here is a link to Notice of race et all;

http://www.carsingtonsailingclub.co.uk/node/3319

Note, there are 2 races (not 3), as per the S15 winter TT format.
For anyone who makes a weekend of it and joins the club racing on Sunday, there is one morning race @ 1100hrs and 2 afternoon races back to back @1315hrs.

Winguru forecast looks quite good at the moment...

Forecast is too cold and not enough wind for me, so I hope those that go have fun and we get a write up this time..

Noted it will be cold, but how much wind do you need, Mark?

A big THANK YOU to all competitors who turned up yesterday at Carsington for the event.
The event report and pics. will be posted on the website and on the Y&Y website very shortly - watch this space.
I hope you all had a good day in the cold but sunny conditions.
Congratulations to Stuart (The Doctor/Mr. Consistent) Snell who, once again, proved he is the man to beat despite being pressed all the way by Paul Grattage, Pete Slater and Paul Craft.
As for the Carsington/Draycote Winter TT unofficial inter-club challenge, the jury has been bashing away on the abacus and returned the official verdict. After two rounds it's 1-0 to Carsington :wink: . Stewartby has been deemed a no-contest :shock: and yesterday's event a narrow victory for the home sailors :lol: . Let battle recommence at Draycote on 5 January 8) !

Apologies to Derek James whose club membership of Draycote is not credited - this will be corrected for the version in Y&Y and the S15 website.
Cheers

.....and a BIG thank you to the Carsington team for making us so welcome and a very smoothly run event. My first foray up North and they are not as bad up there as I've heard, mind you the practice of tossing sweets at sailors is probably best kept quiet...... :wink:

Commander Aldridge, I failed as a skinny lightweight.....beaten by me and the target on my boat......but I was there and it were fun!
