Sprint 15 Nationals NDYC - 6 - 8 June 2014

Post by ewing »

North Devon Yacht Club at Instow, the mecca of Sprint 15 Sailing is hosting once again the Sprint 15 Championships. Things are hotting up down here with the organisation already well underway. The race team are ready, the House Committee are ready to quench your thirst, feed and entertain you.

If you arrive on Thursday the 5th June the club will be open with food, drinks and registration available.

Friday 6th June,
Breakfast available 8.30 to 10.30.
Food and Drink available after Sailing
Something different, a Sailing quiz, teams of six required, get your clubs and friends together to see if you can win against the Dart 18 teams, and rest of NDYC. the cost of this is £7.50 per head ( Children @ £5.00) to include a Fish and Chip supper freshly cooked on site. Put a team together and let Thom@ndyc.org know so we can put our orders together and arrange our own teams.

Saturday 7th June,
Breakfast available 8.30 to 10.30.
Food and Drink available after Sailing
American Night - America`s Cup all the action plus the outtakes edited especially for us by the production team who filmed and commentated on the event, as a bonus Olympic Sailing from Weymouth.

All this with full American Menu, Bud, Burgers, Ribs, Wedges, Fries, Donuts and Coke Floats, with background music from the Eagles.

Sunday 8th June.
Breakfast available 8.30 to 10.30.
Food and Drink available after Sailing
Prize Giving.

As a reminder we would really like an idea of numbers for the Quiz, to give the caterer half a chance.

Looking forward to it

Pete

It would help with catering that if you plan to go but have not entered. you could let someone know. So as a starter we have 4 boats from Shanklin coming at the moment that have not entered.

Have added some of Mary Howie-Wood's pictures to the gallery on this site: http://www.sprint15.com/pics/viewer.php ... 65&stage=3

If you want any originals I am sure Mary would be happy to supply them.

Well done. Did the pies help or did you need to use the certificate too

Bob

PS Martin - any outlook on getting some recent pictures on our home page? It would be good if you could. :D

Big thanks to all at North Devon Yacht Club especially the rescue crews. Thanks for towing me off the sand bar and standing by after the capsizes.

Really glad that Brian from windsport was at the nationals otherwise I would have gone home on the first day. I don't remember breaking so much stuff in such a short period of time  on the Saturday he had a stack of rudders to repair. Thanks Brian.
Brilliant open meeting really great venue and great sailing.
Hope to stop aching soon.
