Pwllheli Nationals 2016

Post by Robin Boardman »

The latest issue of Yachts & Yachting has a guide to Pwllheli (& Abersoch). Reading it won't guarantee a top 3 finish but it is a useful introduction to the area/venue.
The article says you can "Find out more with Y&Y's Event Spotlight pages at yachtsandyachting.co.uk" but I drew a blank - others may be more productive. I shall keep my copy and be happy to share, perhaps at the Grafham bar, but I don't want to incur copyright wrath so will not be posting online.

Me thinks the below article is our 2015 nationals race officer talking about our 2016 nationals.

I know that its miles into the future, but can Erling confirm the dates for Pwllheli for next year. Team FREDDIE may have grandchildren support as crew for next year (and some may say that I really do need a crew to keep lookout for me!), and amazing as it may seem, some accomodation in the Pwllheli area appears to be already booked for late August 2016.

The new Plas Heli sailing venu at Pwllheli is very smart and tested in its first season with the Optimists, 29ers and the Fireball Worlds. Thanks for posting the date for next years Nationals, I'll book my holiday time.

Liam,
I think Erling was proposing having some fun sailing days at Pwllheli. Do you know those dates too?
Cheers

So that's Sunday - Tuesday for the racing at Pwllheli, then?

Hi Robert
Last time we went the first days sailing was Saturday and so people had to travel on Friday and find some place to stay just for the night as most rental's go from Saturday so added to cost. I hope to have the Go-Karting on the Wednesday and sailing trips the last couple of days.
