Thank you Jenny,

This was the greatest event ever! Conditions and friendships. There was a lot of generosity and love going around.

Bob, have a look again at the top 10! Instow needs to step it up a notch.

See you all at Thorpe,

Sean & Sophia

That was Crann, the commodore of Yaverland.

From Harry:
Hi all,
I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who helped last weekend's Nationals be such an outstanding success.
I have barely been sailing this season due to work and other commitments.
So it was with some alarm that I looked at the weather forecast for the weekend and only made my decision to take part on the Thursday.
Friday's and Saturday's races were the most challenging conditions that I have subjected my dart to.
But thanks to the sage advice of Erling and Mark P. the gallow humour of the other sailors and the presence of countless safety boats I felt the confidence take on the challenge. It was with some trepidation I left the beach and my comfort zone far far behind in my wake as we headed out to the big waves, strong winds and potential sightings of Kraken.
The beats were brutal, the runs and reaches wouldn't look out of place at Alton Towers.
In my short sailing career I have never experienced such terror, joy and exhilaration as I did at Yaverland. I have never sworn nor grinned so much on a boat.
I am so glad I took part.
Again big thanks to you and to Yaverland SC all for organising and supporting it.

Hopefully see you all soon
Harry

Are we going to see a write up to make use of the excellent pics for Y and Y and other web sites. It was such a great event (thanks Erling, all the other locals and Wightlink) it really needs us to blow our trumpet.

What, is he writing as "The Devil", saying "What he (I) believe(s) happened? Will it be a work of "Great Short Fiction"? Will it be full of "Fables and Fairytales or given the extended relationships on the IOW will it be all about "Family Happiness"?

I suspect people will be insulted. He is a very rude man.
