What a superb weekend at RWYC. A bit of a hike to get there from 'Up North', but well worth the trip. Superb hospitality from our young home club members at this new venue steeped in history.
Great courses set by RO Roger who gave us exactly what we asked for in terms of layout and expertly laid by his safety crew/mark layers with double quick turn round between races (hardly had time to eat my banana!) and all in a great location which suits our boats to a tee.
BIG, BIG shout out to the young home sailors who looked after the visitors and sailed extremely well in some brisk winds, especially on Sunday. Budding stars indeed of our great Association. Keep it up, lads!
I do hope we'll be returning to Plymouth next year and that a few more travellers will be enticed to attend and savour a real sailing treat.
Well done, Liam, for winning - very well sailed indeed. I was kinda hoping that that submarine which put to sea on Sunday would surface from below you, spear your tramp on the periscope and carry you off in the wrong direction! You were quite untouchable otherwise!
Thanks to all for a memorable weekend of great sailing.
Cheers & Laughter,

Great write up - thanks Ed! Glad everyone enjoyed the new venue and that the local fleet gave everyone a good run for their money as always!

Great event at a great venue with good breeze especially for those of us slightly set ups...... This is one TT those that couldn't make it should be kicking themselves for missing. The sailing was excellent. Praise of the highest order to the hosts the race team set good courses and turned things around without delay. On shore friendly welcoming and comfortable. The youngsters were superb and really did give us a run for our money and were superb ambassadors for the Club. Look forward to going back to Royal Western again. Well done to all and yes Liam was flying any less weight on him and that boat would of been foiling!!!

I notice S/N 1594 was entered. Isn't that George Steven's boat "Eau Pair"?

Any news of George? Retired from the class? etc.

Well spotted. I have not seen or heard of George Stephen selling his boat.
Looking at the pictures the hulls are not the right hulls for 1594 so I suspect he has just sold off his old sail and the new owner has not changed the sail number.
Doubtless George (or maybe Gordon) will put us right
Regards
Bob
PS I don't think George would approve of the boat name.....
