Well done to our new National Champion

Post by Bob Carter »

Well done to Jenny Ball. Our first lady National Champion for 34 years. Linda Moss won in 1989 as a 2-up boat with Stuart Snell as crew.
Jenny is our first ever single handed Lady Champion - a fantastic achievement, especially as she was the event organiser. It is really tough to organise the event AND to sail well. It is hard to sail well when having so many organisation aspects buzzing around in your head. A GREAT ACHIEVEMENT.

Regards
Bob
As an aside it was great to the class in such rude health and the fleet clearly enjoying themselves. More youngsters than I can recall seeing at our Nationals and many of them doing really well. Fantastic.

You pulled some impressive moves on the water yesterday and sailed flawlessly - well from what I could see so far astern of you..

A very popular result. Jenny works so hard for the Association to make all these events happen and nobody is more deserving of the Championship.

As well as organising the event, sorting all the cups, sailing out of her skin and having to deal with tantrums and weather, Jenny has also written a report.
