Has anybody tried using adjustable tiller extensions on a Dart 15. Ronstan X-10 model is 153cm extending to 249cm. I thought that one piece of kit could serve two functions, standard sailing and sprint. Would it be strong enough, would it flex, bend or adjust without warning.

PS It will not strictly be in Class rules so not one to try at the Nationals.

I used one of these tiller extentions on a Dart 15 sting,It was great aslong as you lock it out every time. I did this once whilst on the trapese, when a gust hit the obvious happend and i went in the drink .When i writed the boat the tiller extention had a slight kink in it and would not work again (scrap metal) My experiance is :a Damed expencive one.
