Matt loses rear hatch covers fairly regularly A look at the picture which shows him solo on the trapeze shows his rear foot over the hatch cover - which from time to time, as a result of this technique, works loose, disappears into the Solent and this self same stretch of water then cascades into the hull. This has three upsides for the rest of the Gurnard Fleet.
1) For those of us at the back of the Fleet it means we can catch up with Matt !
2) It gives everybody a good laugh
3) If we are ever short of hatch covers we know where to go - Matt has a car boot full of them.
