Hi Kevin
I have bought 2 new Dart 15s, and neither has been fitted with the sprint gear, so consequently I have 2 complete kits unused, and would certainly be prepared to sell one of them if required.
Not sure what sort of value to put on it, but I'm open to offers if anybody is interested .
Please contact Paul Smith 1961 ( Dartful Codger@aol.com )
Hi Paul, what is included in the sprint kit ?
My Dart is equiped only with mainsail so i guess i need to do some changes to get up a sail on the forestay ?
How much money and effort do I need to get my old spark in sprint condition ?
Hi Micke
Equipment required :-
1 Jib
2 Jib sheet and pulley blocks
3 Jib sheet jammers(cleats) which attach to the trampoline tracking .
4 Short swivel strop at the top of the forestay - you may already have one on .
5 Furling drum at the bottom of the forestay and control line which runs back through a small cleat to the left of the front beam .
6 Trapeze wires ( 1 pair )which fasten to the same fitting as the shroud wires near the top of the mast. At the bottom end , each wire also has a ring to which you clip on your harness .
7 Length of shock-cord which runs across and under the trampoline and out through the metal eyes next to the tracking and up to the trapeze wires to hold them in place.
8 As already mentioned, you will of course need the harness itself, which is not part of the kit , since you must buy one that fits you, for obvious and fairly personal reasons!
As regards effort, the whole kit can be put on in half an hour.
I'm afraid I can't be too specific about the price , but I would estimate around ?350 plus cost of harness.
Maybe the Laser Centre could help you more specifically here.
Hope this helps
