Does anyonr know of anywhere that sell tubular trailer axles?
I have a trailer with leaf springs that had(!) an axle bolted to them, and some thieving scumbag has made off with the whole axle and wheels.
I can't find tubular axles anywhere, and replacing it with a beam would be cheap and easy until I have to buy the suspension/hubs and wheels/tyres.
That trailer must have been donkeys years old. Your best chance is probably to get one of the current trailer manufacturers such as West Mersea Trailers or maybe Lizard Trailers ( Helston TR13 0LW - phone number used to be 0326 563282) to make one up.
I've just looked in an old sailing mag and the following are names of trailer manufactureres 20 - 30 years ago (but I bet most of them will probably be out of business now (apart from Lizard Trailers above)

www.trailerpartswarehouse.co.uk lists several trailers with full beam axles, it might be worth contacting them by telephone and see if they can give you dimensions / contacts for the parts you want.
