Queen Mary , yesterday.

Post by Gordon »

Just wanted to thank everyone for coming along to Queen Mary for the event yesterday.
A really good sailing day with great competition, and a great turn out from far and wide including Shanklin, Carsington, Draycote, Seasalter, Thorpe Bay, ODC, Rutland and of course, QM. Well done.

But what happened to the guys from Grafham?
The biggest Sprint 15 Club of all couldn't get 1 person to come along?

Regards
Gordon

Thanks to you, Gordon, and everyone at Queen Mary for organising a great day's sailing. I really enjoyed myself and the ear-to-ear grin has been duly noted by the governing body here at home! It's a great site you have with impressive facilities - very comfortable.

Hi,

Other than Frank and Richard (separate Chat thread) I guess that the other Grafham sailors were put off by the thought of wind strong enough to have Ray Gall out on the wire, let alone Kevin Dutch who seemed to depower once or twice to avoid capsizing!

Let's hope that Grafham aren't planning to lay on light winds like last October to encourage their home sailors to turn out.....
