1818 For Sale - can be seen at the nationals.

Post by Georgecart »

If anybody is looking for a boat and will be at the nationals, 1818 is now up for a very reluctant sale on the Buy and Sell section. It is a bit hard to get back often enough to sail sadly. So if anybody is in the market, come see me at the nationals and get the guided tour! Little sailed since one of the famous Steve Sawford makeovers. Well maintained and some pedigree, hey even Dad won the nationals in the boat in 1997. Sorry Dad...

I've had the boat for 10 years and I hope it can go to a good owner. I certainly miss sailing it!

There are some photos on the site. Newest set of sails are white.

Safe journeys and hopefully see you at the weekend if my travel plans work out!

Number 1818 has some interesting characteristics.

For those of you who enjoy the science of numbers, I have made a post to the Sprint 15 database (which is the second subject on the chat pages, qv).

1818 is a magical number!
Fading star of the Thorpe Bay fleet
Former rugby player in the extra-B
Struggling musician
Second best cabbage in the village show...

Ouch !

If you are into numerology then have you just hexed your boat, after all its great results, into coming in places divisible by 9 in the future or should it be 18th or 81st ..................
