28 December - GGP

Post by Bob Carter »

The Grafham Grand Prix takes place on Sunday 28 December. This open meeting is open to catamarans and foilers as well as most monohulls and is the ideal way to work off the excesses of Christmas.

We hope to get 8 or more Sprint 15s +Dart 18s +Dart 16s + etc taking part and then we get our own prizes, seperate from the monohulls. Thus we can do well even if it is not a strong wind.

If you fancy a good Christmas/ New Year race why not give it a try?

Pre-entry is required by 21 December. Full details and entry forms can be found on the Grafham website at:

I hear that Steve Sawford has signed on sailing a Sting............
It's a long time since we saw one of those raced.

On Sunday 28 December it is the Grafham Grand Prix.
We currently have 5 Medium Cats entered( 2 Sprint 15s, 1 Sting, 1 Dart 16 & 1 Dart 18 ). If we get another 3 we will get our own catamaran prizes and will not be dependant on competing against monohulls
The weather forecast is 14mph East wind and 4deg C. Not bad if a bit nippy.

If you want to enter you must call the club (01480810478) on tomorrow (24 December) to register your entry. It would be great if we got 8 +

Cheers

Bob
