Stewartby TT - 1st November 2014

Post by scooby »

Stewartby Sailing Club are pleased to announce they have once again been selected to launch the Sprint 15 Winter Series on 1st November 2014. With the last of the Summer Series at Grafham the weekend before, all visiting competitors are invited to leave their Catamarans at Stewartby on their way home. As always, the legendary Stewartby hospitality will welcome competitors with a bacon buttie and mug of tea all included in the traditional entry fee of just £15. Racing will begin at 11:15 with two back to back races using the full extent of the lake, a privilege only usually appreciated by the Powerboat racers. The Galley will be open for lunch, courtesy of Sam, providing a bargain hearty lunch. To top the day off, the awards will include a reward for all competitors.

Check out the Stewartby website for further details - http://www.swsc.org.uk/dinghy-racing/open-meetings/

Stewartby now has a fleet of 19 Sprint 15's and with a concerted effort from the usual travellers, we hope to encourage many of the home team out onto the lake.

Look forward to seeing you all there!!

Unfortunately I will be away for this event, so I hope you get a good turnout and some decent wind.

Jacob has given me his OK to stick his Sprint on the trailer so I do hope to get to the remaining winter TT events.

His mast will be at Stewartby but the rest could be anywhere.
