Summer TT at Marconi - 14/15 April

Hi All

The first Summer TT of our 40th Anniversary takes place at Marconi on 14 and 15th April.

With the welcome return of Nigel Denchfield as RO - we are planning five races across the weekend including the round the islands long distance race.

Briefing at 11am on Sat with first race scheduled for 12 noon.

Galley service all weekend - plus evening meal, bar and free onsite camping on the Saturday night.

NOR and SIs are on the Events page.

The club site is locked - so if you want to bring your boat down on Friday night - please let me know asap so I can arrange for someone to let you in!

Hi All

In case you were wondering with all the wet weather we have been having on top of all that snow ........

We will still be fine for camping and boat parking/rigging on the fields at Marconi.

However, we may need to keep cars off the grass to prevent things being too churned up. If that is the case, we have plenty of hard standing on site for cars to park including for those sleeping in their cars overnight. It just won't be directly alongside your boat/trailer.

We will make a call at the weekend when hopefully the warm winds forecast for later this week will have taken effect!

The photo of all the new 15s lined up in numerical order on the beach is such a great advert for the strength of the class,as it celebrates its 40th year. Not sure who took the photo, but it was an inspired idea.
