Keep the Finn (or better still a Phantom) for sub 10 knots and sail a Sprint in the stronger winds. Then you get the best of both worlds. As Bob Carter says, with F4+ the Sprint really comes into its own and is delightful to sail. However, unless you have other cats to keep you company like at Shank...

Entries closed a week ahead this year, so no chance to see what the wind is doing before commiting ourselves.

With 130 boats on the lake it's pretty crowded too.

It certainly was, at least in the morning! A very cold on-shore Northerly made it seem even worse. Some of us, including yours truly, wimped out.
