Re: Looking ahead to 40th Anniversary Nationals ....

What a great idea for the 40th Anniversary Nationals and a great opportunity for Sprint 15 sailors to sail at an Olympic Venue. I have had a sad season on shore with a spinal disc rupture. However on Wednesday I go under the knife so have booked myself in to Portland House as next years Nationals wi...

Re: Maximum sailor weight

My son and I have raced reasonably competitively at just over 120kg.

Bit sluggish when I took the wife out though  !

Re: Sprint 15 Speed data

Hi Anthony

I went out yesterday in Shanklin the weather station about 50m off the beach said the wind strength was 10-15mph with the highest gust recorded at 20mph. I reached out about half a mile where there was a little more wind (but not much more) and clocked 19.7mph.

we would have a few at Shanklin who at the moment would not be confident to come to the unarig or sport nationals.
Give me a list of names and I will get the thumb screws out.

Lily, Daisy, Amy, Henry, Tom . . . all under 16 and could all helm.

To Start a 2Up Debate

Despite keeping my son on a sparrows diet for the first 13yrs of his life he now seems to be revolting (!) and with little regard for our sailing career has started his growth spurt. Sadly I fear I will soon be even less competitive at the Nationals than previously. This got me thinking about what t...

Re: Nationals and Association Membership

Trying to encourage both my children to helm the Sprint 15 at some events - do I have to purchase separate association membership for them ?

Oooooh - I've just noticed on Paul's link the "Dart Sprint 15 GTI" with "equipage" of 2!

AND - a more favourable handicap than the unarig!

Watch out guys!

Re: Weight Limit for a Dart / Sprint 15

Hi Chris To be "at the front of the fleet" you are probably too big for both :( . If however you are looking to have fun in a boat you can easily handle in a fleet of sailors of all sizes and abilities, with an active enthusiastic class association to give you support and advice. Then go f...

Carnac 2012

Why not consider going to Carnac next year 27th-30th April?

I'm working on mustering a small fleet from Shanklin. Would be good if we could get enough boats to give the class a good showing.

Post below if you think you might be interested. 8)
