The club is located about a mile west of Cowes. They have a fleet of 30 Sprint 15s which are kept at a dinghy park a further quarter of a mile to the west of the Club. All Gurnard Sprint 15s are sailed in Sport mode. For events, the Club operates a escorted passage system to ferry boats from the mainland to Gurnard. You can leave your car and trailer in the car park at Lepe Country Park (Stone Point) for a fee of about £4.00/day (See the website http://www3.hants.gov.uk/lepe/ for further info). You set up your boat and at the allotted time rescue boats come across and escort the group of boats to Gurnard Sailing Club. Bags of clothes, etc. can be put aboard the rescue boats as can passengers. The procedure is reversed at the end of the event. For more details please call Carl Blenkinsop on 07973 503319.  Ferry Travel If you do not want to sail across, Red Funnel Ferries (tel 0870 444 8898) sail from Southampton to East Cowes.
