4) Event News: TT at Thorpe Bay Yacht Club - Race Report (Article Published: 21st May 2026 at 22:31 pm) The second Summer TT of 2026 brought the Dart 15 fleet to the Thames Estuary, where Thorpe Bay Yacht Club hosted twenty-three travellers and home sailors for a weekend of properly mixed Estuary conditions, two countback finishes that came down to the last race, and one of the more memorable abandoned races in recent fleet history. The forecast promised a decent breeze on the Saturday and lighter air on the Sunday. What the forecast couldn't show was the shifts. Race Officer Chris Boshier, assisted by Chris Tillyer, would later report a wind range of 6 to 22 knots on the Saturday with shifts of up to 90 degrees across the day and 30-degree shifts under every passing cloud. Sunday would bring 15 knots dropping to nothing, swinging through 45 degrees. The mark layers were going to earn their keep. more.. |

8) Event News: TT at Grafham Water Sailing Club - Race Report (Article Published: 11th March 2026 at 18:47 pm) The final TT event of the Winter Series was held at Grafham on Sunday the 8th March. Uncharacteristically, we managed to race five events in a row this winter without any postponements or rescheduling due to poor weather and all in light winds. This made organisation much easier for the new Winter Series coordinator. The overall winner had been decided at the previous event at Datchet, but 2nd, 3rd and 4th places were all still to play for. more.. |
9) Event News: TT at Datchet Sailing Club - Race Report (Article Published: 12th February 2026 at 17:56 pm) The Dart 15 fleet returned once again to Datchet for this, their fourth Winter TT of the season. After a prolonged spell of grey, cold and wet weather, thirteen competitors arrived to mild and finally dry conditions. Winds were very light to start with but were forecast to build during the day. Aside from the weather, other talk over boat rigging was about the three competitors who had “upgraded” to newer boats and were trying them out for the first time today. Two of these boats have been given somewhat interesting names already by their new owners (both boats were previously un-named so no bad luck hopefully). So it was that “Hot Rats” and “Nice Pair” had their maiden voyages. more.. |
10) Event News: TT at Draycote Water Sailing Club - Race Report (Article Published: 12th January 2026 at 15:01 pm) For the third event of the Dart 15 winter series, the first of 2026, the day started sunny and frosty but with a bleak wind of around 3 knots when people turned up and started to get boats ready. Special mention for the travellers from Shanklin and Marconi who made this event a 3-way club battle. It is quite an effort for all the travellers. more.. |
