Thorpe Bay Yacht Club Fun Events : Summer Series

The fun sailing was great if a little lightly attended with 6 boats to Island YC and 7 to the Medway. The first was marginal re wind and we had a great beat there in 18/19 mph and a hairy run and broad reach to Leigh and back round the pier in an average 24 gusting over 30 mph.

The second was delayed by gear failure on Gary Sverdloff's boat and only got as far as Standgate Creek on the Kent coast where we had some good broad reaching in about 17 mph with sun and a more gentle return across the Thames.
